Mathematics Major

When you live your life by the numbers, a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics just makes sense. Students within the School of Natural Science and Mathematics will learn both theory and application in areas such as algebra and discreet mathematics. Classes in calculus, statistics, differential equations, and more will help students hone their skills of logical reasoning, precision, and investigation.

Outside of Math Classes

Outside of Class

In addition to Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematical honor society, students are encouraged to join school chapters of the Mathematical Association of America, the Association for Computing Machinery, and the Association for Women in Mathematics. The Mount Math Madness Problem of the Week invites students campus-wide to break out their calculators for particularly puzzling math problems. Cue the Good Will Hunting montage.
