Accouting Degree

If you’re good with numbers, a bachelor’s degree in accounting can help you hone your skills to balance the books of a major corporation, to problem solve major financial challenges, and to be able to confidently and effectively communicate the whole process to your colleagues. Mount students learn the ins and outs of business financials (or rather, the credits and debits) and are eligible to sit for the CPA exam when they complete the program.

Outside of Accouting Classes

Outside of Class

As one of our largest majors, accounting students are involved in all kinds of activities related to their studies including Accounting Club, the annual ethics pledge, the Federal Reserve Challenge, Enactus or the Delta Mu Delta national honor society for business.

Careers in Accounting

Career Crossing

The Career Center hosts an annual career fair specifically for accounting students where they have an opportunity to meet and maybe even interview with top national and regional employers for jobs or internships.
Students have found jobs and internships with top firms such as the “Big Four”— PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, Ernst & Young and KPMG—as well as regional and local public accounting firms.
